Delaware Summer Camps 2016

This summer 2016 will be a great season for your campers. There are many great Delaware summer camps out there, but there is one in particular that stands out year after year. This exciting summer camp happens to be located at the Tatnall School in Wilmington Delaware.

The first summer camp offered is an old favorite but a fresh camp every year:

Video Game Design Camp  

(Grades 4-12)

July 25th to August 5th:    9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Video Game Design camp is a two week fun program where each camper will learn everything about the creation of how video games are made. Each camper will use Adobe Flash, photoshop and HTML 5 authoring tools to design their games. At the end of the two week programs, each camper will get to bring home their very own 2d platform video game that can be played on any computer. 

The Video Game Design Camp will be for every kind of prior experiences providing an introduction, intermediate, and advanced instruction courses at the same time so that if your camper has already been at the camp in the past, then they will have the opportunity to advance further in the class and either build onto their past video game or create another one with additional bells and whistles!

This summer camp is created for enthusiastic campers with having 60 percent of the summer day spent in the classroom where their will be labs and lectures, and the remaining part of the day being outside doing recreation and swimming. Also, there will be lots of time to play Smash Bros. and Minecraft, among other video games!

Minecraft: Adventure Design 

  

  (Grades 4-12)

 

July 11th to 22nd: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Using Minecraft, the world's most popular video game, campers will learn how to create and design 3D video game adventures. This Minecraft camp focuses primarily on game design, installing mods and implementing Redstone to create fun adventure maps. Advanced campers may also work on setting up and managing local Minecraft servers. 

This camp does not require software coding. This day includes lectures/labs, recreation and swimming (two periods) and time for playing Smash Bros. and Minecraft.
